Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, agriculture, or a related technical field is considered an asset.
• Minimum of three (3) years of machinery sales experience; agricultural or construction equipment sales experience is preferred.

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and inspects equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The Yard Person – 6-Month Term is a temporary position supporting our operations during a busy seasonal period. This role helps keep the yard safe, organized, and running smoothly while supporting the Service, Parts, and Sales teams. This role prepares equipment, attachments, and accessories for delivery to customers, sales staff, and the service shop. The Yard Person must be comfortable and skilled in operating agricultural and heavy equipment to safely load, unload, move, and stage units from hauling trailers and around dealership property. This position plays an important role in supporting busy seasonal periods and ensuring equipment is handled and transported safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Handling & Yard Operations
• Safely operate agricultural and heavy equipment in the yard, shop, and delivery areas.
• Load, unload, stage, and secure equipment for customer pickups, deliveries, and vendor shipments.
• Transport equipment between locations, including operating pilot/escort vehicles when required.
• Ensure loads are secured according to transportation regulations and company procedures.
• Perform visual inspections and report damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards.

Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Support

Facility & Operational Support

• Maintain yard and facility cleanliness, including snow removal and general housekeeping.

Seasonal & Cross-Functional Support

• Provide additional support during peak seasons, including spring preparation and fall harvest.

The Service Writer is the main point of contact for working with the Service Manager and shop on all work orders and administrative duties that support the Service Department. This position requires someone who is highly motivated and a team player, ensuring the dealership surpasses customer expectations by completing required duties professionally and promptly. The Service Writer is responsible for the safe, effective, clean, organized, and professional performance of Service Department administrative functions at all times.

• Prepare work orders for the Service Manager's, Supervisor's, or Manager's review and approval.

• Contribute to quality, efficiency, and process improvements

• Journeyperson Agricultural or Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred, or actively registered apprentice
• Previous experience servicing agricultural or heavy equipment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Experience completing inspections, work orders, and service documentation
• Valid driver’s license required

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strong relationships with customers within the assigned territory through regular on-site visits, proactive communication, and a deep understanding of customer needs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to farmers and contractors by understanding their operations, challenges, and long-term goals, and recommending appropriate equipment and solutions.
• Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities to grow market penetration and revenue within the territory.
• Prospect new customers through a variety of methods, including cold calling, face-to-face meetings, referrals, networking, and industry events.
• Maintain consistent monthly contact with customers to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and support customer retention.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Parts, Service, Administration, and Leadership) to resolve customer issues, remove barriers, and support successful deal closure.
• Actively manage assigned accounts, sales pipeline, opportunities, and forecasts using company sales tools, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and submit weekly sales activity and performance reports against established targets.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activity, and new product offerings, introducing new solutions to customers as appropriate.
• Take full ownership of assigned accounts, demonstrating strong self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, agriculture, or a related technical field is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of agriculture, farming operations, and agronomic trends.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close sales both in person and over the phone.
• Minimum of three (3) years of machinery sales experience; agricultural or construction equipment sales experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to build new business while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory for customer and prospect visits.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and inspects equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role supports customer productivity through high-quality technical service delivered in both shop and field environments, while adhering to company safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The Service Technician works collaboratively with Parts, Service Advisors, and fellow technicians and represents the Company’s commitment to safety, professionalism, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
